Principle 9: Post with caution

09

Post with caution

We keep our finger to the pulse and know what’s going on in the world around us. When we post, we flex our expertise with care and respect for others.

Key points.

  • Disclosing corporate or partner information in any platform or medium is expressly prohibited and constitutes a breach of confidentiality.
  • When engaging or commenting on social media posts, beware that you are an extension of the Movinx brand and your actions online can have reputational or legal consequences for you and for Movinx.
  • We always respect the privacy of our colleagues and business partners online, even when posts have good intentions – always seek permission, before sharing.

Fine print.

The reputation and liability of Movinx can also be affected by anything our employees say publicly, regardless of the medium or the intention of the post. All employees and contractors are bound by non-disclosure agreements and when in doubt, please always approach your manager or the Legal & Governance team.

Scenario.

You are at a team event in Berlin. You are excited and want to share photos and videos of the event on social media. You ask for explicit permission of anyone who is visible on the photos. You also refrain from tagging the place if you are still on location, or you wait to post the content until the next day, to be on the safe side.

Where can I find out more?

Our social media platforms are governed by our Social Media Privacy Policy. If you need help or support in understanding what should or shouldn’t be posted, feel free to contact our Communications team. Any questions regarding GDPR or other relevant policies can also be directed to our Legal & Governance team.
