50% women in tech by end of 2023: Movinx

Today, international insurtech company, Movinx, announced its commitment to employ at least 50 percent of women in technology positions by the end of 2023.

As the world celebrates International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the company formalized its commitment to playing its part in addressing the lack of diversity and access for women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields globally.

“We know diversity is a prerequisite for good business. Importantly, when you are developing applications and creating services that put customers first, you need an engineering profile that is all-encompassing, one that truly reflects our customers,” said Movinx Chief Technology Officer, JP Nacier.

To reach this target, the company is partnering with recruitment experts that specialize in the talent acquisition of women around the globe.

“The tech sector has a lot more work to do in supporting and actively encouraging highly-qualified, talented women to apply for tech roles at all levels,” said Mr Nacier. “We know this target is ambitious, particularly for a tech startup, but we are thrilled to be working closely with our management and tech teams, and talent acquisition experts to help bridge that gap and get this done.”

The company will also launch a series of free live events for women in technology, centered on knowledge sharing and enabling access to women leaders in the field. More details on these events will be published on the company’s website in coming weeks.
